WHAT WE DO NOT NEED:
SVdP does not stockpile clothing, furniture or houshold items due to lack of space, but if you have something to donate, please give us a call or use the contact form to let us know. We often know of people who need these goods and would be happy to connect with you. For most household goods, we refer clients and donors to the HARP Mission in Caldwell. The HARP charity has warehousing to accept these goods and stockpiles them for those in need.
VOLUNTEERS WE NEED:
* General volunteers are needed to interview and assist clients on the phone and in person. Presently interviews are done in the the SVdP office across from Saint Benedict Church in Cambridge.
* We need a general data entry volunteer to help keep our client records up to date.
* We need website developers to maintain and improve this COLSVDP.ORG website. If you know someone who might be interested in helping our conference and has a technology bent, this is an opportunity for someone who either knows or would like to learn WordPress. Young volunteers are welcome!
* We need a grant seeker.
* We need a backup volunteer for the general legwork of paying bills and meeting clients for IDs.
* We need a volunteer to learn the restore procedures for the website in case the site is hacked or crashes.
VOLUNTEERS OR SERVICE WE NEED:
At one time we were able to refer clients to an expert who would help them create a budget. We’ve lost that service and desperately need either a new member willing to take on this task, or an outside service to help our clients.
VOLUNTEERS WE WILL NEED:
* We will need volunteers to make home visits in the future to assist clients who are homebound or lack transportation.
